San Francisco GLBT History Museum Opens Today

San Francisco's GLBT History Museum officially opens its doors today, making it only the second such museum in the world besides the one in Germany. It's located in the Castro at 4127 18th street, and is full of exciting exhibits, articles, and objects. Inscribed along one of the museum's walls are words from a 1979 San Francisco Gay History Project flyer:
"Our letters were burned, our names blotted out, our books censored, our love declared unspeakable, our very existence denied."
The museum will rely on donations and volunteers to run. For more information, check out their website here.
