NBC Universal's Ugly New Logo... Foreshadowing of What's to Come?

Comcast just acquired NBC Universal, and what's the first thing they did? They destroyed what was a pretty sharp looking logo and replaced it with something your 8-year-old cousin could have made in Power Point. Between this and Keith Olbermann's recent departure from MSNBC, things really aren't looking good for the network since the takeover. 

Starbucks Unveils New Logo

Yesterday, Starbucks unveiled its new logo, as seen on the cup on the right of this photo. Previous logos are on the cups to the left of it. Most notably, the new logo doesn't contain the word "coffee" or even the name "Starbucks."


According to this Wall Street Journal article, the new logo reflects the company's new emphasis on selling Starbucks-brand products in supermarkets and other channels beyond its retail stores.
