New "No On 1" Ad Sparks Dialogue

"No on 1" is a campaign fighting to oppose Maine's discriminatory proposition 1, which would prohibit gays and lesbians from accessing marriage licenses and the rights they accompany. The campaign recently released a new ad featuring a Catholic mother of a gay son, highlighting her struggle of not knowing whether or not he will be able to have the rights and protections of marriage after November 4th.


For most Catholic voters, religious ideals seem to trump any desire for a nondiscriminatory society. But perhaps the real target of this ad is the somewhat religious voter on-the-fence. Watch for yourself and take a look at some of the interesting dialogue in the comment section:
